At LegalTech in New York this week and having a great time. If you are looking for us, we are booth-less …on purpose though. Instead, we spend the week meeting with clients individually and collectively, meeting with our partners, potential resellers, and vendors of other third-party apps we might integrate with.
Still lots of talk and concern about e-Discovery and a little about Office ‘07. I don’t see the same panic in everyone’s eyes as I did last year. I think we’ve all calmed down and have forged a plan. For Esquire’s products, you will find installs on our website for our Office ‘07 versions for iCreate, iScrub and iDociD. These are all v5. iRedline is coming soon as version 5.1. There’s a reason why… stay tuned. I think its big.
Now regarding Office ‘07, I have to say I am surprised at how many have approached this upgrade… SUDDENLY! I’ll get a call or an e-mail that goes something like this… “Judye, we’re upgrading to Office 2007 tomorrow. Is iCreate gonna be ready?” This takes me back to 1997 when some firms migrated from WordPerfect to Word over a weekend without any consideration for document conversion or training. Yikes!
Most, are taking a long range planning perspective and treating this as more than an upgrade… a migration even. That’s wise. Several of our partners, ODC and Education Partners, for instance, offer wonderful seminars for the IT staff and also for end users. More on that later, too.
Okay, gotta go. Stay plugged in!
